Who Are
Kiwanians? |
Kiwanis is people.
It is people who know the greatest success they can achieve is building
better communities.
People who know that getting a kid off drugs is a priceless contribution;
who knows that detection of a child's disability, and subsequent
treatment, is an act without a price tag. And it's people who know that
the loneliness, and sometimes poverty of old age, can be swept away by a
little of their time and a lot of their help.
Kiwanis is people who want to expand their circle of acquaintances; to
be mere involved in their communities; who want to be part of things; of
where they live, and where they work. Kiwanis helps them achieve that
goal.
There are nearly a third of a million Kiwanians, in clubs across the
world, subscribing to the same ideals and aims, differing in what they
do only as national customs differ.
Theirs is a continuing informal, people-to-people program where
friendships and common purpose transcend international borders and real
world understanding may sometimes be the best result of everything they
do.
