PAST PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

The American Red Cross Blood drive on July 7 was successful. The event was held at the Village Chapel UMC.

The July 8th family picnic was held at the Ashville Park open shelter house. There was a lot of food to share along with fellowship.  There were several corn hole games played and Larry Toole appears to be the expert corn holer.

July 22nd prior to the start of the picnic with the Louise Terrace residents, a special board meeting was held.  At the meeting there were three membership applications presented. All three were approved.  An induction conducted by Wayne Rayburn was held after the picnic. The new members are:

ANN FREEMAN: Ann is the owner of Circleville Physical Therapy, the mother of 3 children and the wife of current member, Mike Freeman.

BECKY RAYBURN: Becky works in the accounts receivables at the Olen Corp.  The mother of two college students and the wife of 1st V. P. Wayne Rayburn.

BETH ADKINS: Secretary to the Circleville High School Athletic Director and high school cashier, the mother of two children.  Beth's daughter, Kendall, was a recipient of our Kiwanis Hosier Scholarship.

We look forward to working with these fine new members and invite all Kiwanians to get acquainted with these ladies at our regular meeting and special project.  I am sure you will see them there.

August 2 was Kiwanis night at the Columbus Clippers.  Ashville Kiwanians took 90 tickets to share with family and friends. The game was tied at the end of nine innings, but the Louisville team won in extra innings. Our club donated 60 tickets to the Fun in the Sun activities at the Ashville Park.
